Blood Bikes East

It’s not every year that we do a charity event but when we do the Enduro community make it count! So as you know we made Blood Bikes East the chosen charity for 2018 and as in past years we ran the opening event of the year to try and raise a few quid for this worthy charity.

Blood Bikes East is a motorcycling organisation that provides a free medical transport service to the hospitals in the greater Dublin area as well as assisting other Blood Bike groups in the South, Mid-West, West, North West and North East. The event was held on the 11th March 2018 at Belmount Demesne, Bray, Co. Wicklow which is one of the locations where the TV serious “Vikings” is filmed by kind permission of Mr. David Brabazon and his family. A three hour Steeplechase marked out by Leighton Gray & Philip Noone as well as a kids Trial which was a round of the Southern Centre Youth Trials Championship. A great day was put on for everyone with a bouncy castle, a few sounds, a coffee dock with some fantastic cakes on offer as well as a raffle with the top prize of a break at the Tulfarris Hotel, Wicklow which was kindly donated by the Prem Group.

So to the important bit, how much was raised? Well the final figure came to a fantastic €6,030…
